FOUR members of the commercial property team at Wake Smith Solicitors will take to the city’s streets for the debut Sheffield 10k this weekend.
Commercial property solicitors Paul Gibbon and Tom Weightman plus legal secretaries Lauren Hance and Bobby Griffin-Pygott will take part in Sheffield’s newest road race on Sunday (October 30).
The foursome will all clock up personal bests and Tom, who will run the race dressed as Scooby Doo, is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Tom said: “My grandma recently passed away so I’m raising funds for Macmillan. We’re all looking forward to the race and achieving personal bests!”
The race is the latest addition to the Asda Foundation Series and is being staged in partnership with Sheffield City Council.
Runners will take on a brand new route, starting in Arundel Gate along Charter Row and Ecclesall Road, before skirting the edges of Endcliffe Park.
It continues along Riverdale Road, along Endcliffe Vale Road, close to the Botanical Gardens, then travels down Brocco Bank with a city centre finish.
