A speedy delivery of legal services by Wake Smith Solicitors means thousands of Santa's letters will be winging their way to Lapland from Sheffield.
Commercial property solicitor Tom Weightman completed the lease for Santa's Post Office on Chapel Walk for Sheffield Business Improvement District (BID).
The free Christmas initiative is funded by Sheffield BID as part of a wider strategy to support Chapel Walk businesses helping to increase footfall and improve the appearance of the popular shopping area whilst nearby building renovations take place.
The opening weekend of the magical pop-up attraction saw more than 1,200 children visit the elves to write their letter to Santa and post it in a special festive post box.
Once posted, children can watch the letter take a journey to Santa's HQ in Lapland, and to finish off elves will hand parents a reply, stamped by Santa, to take home.
Tom Weightman from Wake Smith, whose director John Baddeley sits on the board of Sheffield BID, said: "The short term lease was completed very quickly in order for the 2017 Christmas period."
Sheffield BID Manager Diane Jarvis said: "The attraction has already proved extremely popular with crowds of people descending on Santa's Post Office for its opening weekend.
"Sheffield BID has pledged to support the businesses on Chapel Walk and this is just one way that we are doing that. The city centre really is an exciting place to be this Christmas with events and festivities happening throughout the festive season."
The landlord on the Chapel Walk property is Zurich Assurance Ltd with Paul Lancaster and Knight Frank acting as the letting agents.
Santa's Post Office is open between 11am-4pm on weekends, and on Thursdays between 4pm-7pm from 18 November until 23 December and then from 11am-4pm everyday between 18-23 December.
Sheffield BID was set up in 2015 when more than 500 businesses in the city centre collectively decided to invest in improving their environment. Its five year action plan is to deliver projects and services across all sectors to enhance both the physical and trading environment.
