Wake Smith has been shortlisted in the Sheffield Business Awards 2018.
The firm, which has serviced the legal requirements of individuals and companies across the Sheffield City Region for more than 200 years, is up for the Employer of the Year category.
Winners will be chosen on Thursday November 29th at a glittering ceremony at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre.
Wake Smith HR manager Jo Barnett said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award. We need to attract, manage, motivate and retain the best talent, as their ideas, and the delivery from everyone across the firm, is helping to develop the company.
“As well as recruiting staff from our headline competitors and new employees, we have engaged staff in a creative values project, helped redefine the company and its brand, and improved client liaison.
“This has built better relationships and a more responsive service for clients and established pride in delivering a successful solution – all with our own employees’ help.”
Wake Smith has approximately 100 staff, including 20 directors, with more than 44 experienced legal professionals; including solicitors, associates, consultants and chartered legal executives providing legal expertise and practical law advice.
