Wake Smith has undertaken commercial property work for well known Sheffield manufacturer Robson Handling Technology Ltd as part of its move to new bankers.
Robson Handling Technology Ltd, the UK-based manufacturers of bulk material and baggage handling equipment and its two subsidiaries, have moved their full banking services to Barclays.
As part of the transaction, Paul Gibbon, commercial property director at Wake Smith advised on the deal for Robson, which has manufacturing sites at Coleford Road in Darnall and Hellaby.
Paul worked closely with Colin Beresford, Group CEO at Robson and Matthew Chenery, Relationship Director at Barclays, on the project.
Paul said: “We are extremely happy to be associated for the first time with Robson which is both a long standing and well known company in the region.”
Colin Beresford said ‘Our property portfolio proved to be a little more complex than we anticipated, but Paul dealt with all the quirks and complications in his stride so that we completed the transaction ahead of schedule. We are grateful to Wake Smith for the excellent service we received.’
Robson is a fourth generation family-owned business delivering innovative material handling solutions including design, manufacture, installation and service/maintenance.
The group, which supplies many industries worldwide including power generation, food, construction and airports, employs 140 staff and has a current turnover of £25 million, which it plans to continue growing organically over the next few years.
Robson chose to bank with Barclays after being impressed with their proactive support for the company’s future growth aspirations and their understanding about the company’s business and markets it operates in.
