Wake Smith has renewed its legacy partnership with Museums Sheffield; the charity that runs the Millennium Gallery, Graves Gallery, and Weston Park Museum.
The Sheffield law firm joined forces with the charity a year ago to highlight the importance of having a Will, and to raise awareness of the benefits of giving to the city’s museums.
The partnership has already seen a number of enquiries about leaving donations to Museums Sheffield. Personal Will enquires rose by 200 per cent and pledges of charitable gifts were made to support the charity.
The new agreement will continue to encourage people to commit to giving and help ensure that arts and heritage can continue to inspire future generations in the city.

Each year, one million people visit Museums Sheffield’s free spaces, and it costs more than £3 million to run Millennium Gallery, Weston Park Museum and Graves Gallery.
Wake Smith became the museum’s first ever legacies partner in 2018. Wake Smith will be hosting free surgeries offering Wills advice to the public as part of a specially curated programme of events in October that will explore how donations have helped to shape Sheffield’s collections.
