In response to a written parliamentary question, the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government confirmed on the 10th June 2019 that it was working to bring into force regulations on mandatory electrical safety checks in the private rented sector as soon as possible, subject to parliamentary approval and timetable.
As yet it is unclear exactly which electrical systems/installations those regulations are likely to cover.
