Wake Smith Solicitors has been shortlisted in the Law Firm of the Year category at Insiders’ Sheffield City Region Dealmakers Awards 2021.
The annual Dealmakers Awards recognise the high quality professional advisory firms and funders in the Sheffield City Region and some of the best deals in which they were involved.
This is the third year running that the company commercial team at Wake Smith has been nominated in the category, which looks at firms’ performances between March 2020 and March 2021.
In this period the Sheffield-based three-strong team successfully completed on deals with a cumulative value of more than £79m with the complex legal work handled by the director-level trio of head of company commercial and director Duncan Shepherd, chairman and director John Baddeley and director Rebecca Robinson.

The winners will be announced on 7 October 2021 at the Mercure Sheffield St Paul’s Hotel.
