Wake Smith’s company and commercial team has been shortlisted for two accolades in the Sheffield City Region Dealmakers' Awards.
The event, organised by Yorkshire Business Insider, is a once-a-year celebration of the people who fund, create, organise and secure expansion opportunities across the region’s business community.
Ten awards are up for grabs with Wake Smith being shortlisted in the Corporate Law Firm of the Year category and the National/International Deal of the Year category for its work on the acquisition of Environmental Resource Group by Red Industries.
The winners will be announced on June 6 at the ceremony at the Mercure St Paul's Hotel in Sheffield.
Wake Smith’s company and commercial department recently announced it had marked its second year of £100m plus deals with the appointment of assistant solicitor Dean Goulding to join the existing three-strong team of Duncan Shepherd, John Baddeley and Rebecca Robinson.
The team’s sector knowledge includes manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, banking, IT/IPR and is supported, where relevant, by colleagues in commercial property, employment, regulatory, trusts and dispute resolution.
